Plans and credits
Everything on this page is money you pay Spark. Money your customers pay you flows through Payments, on your own Stripe account, and the two are kept fully separate.

These are the current prices; the pricing page is the canonical source. Every account starts on Free, with no card required. The one-time signup credits let you build and preview a real project before you pay anything, and they never expire.
The fee column is the percentage Spark keeps from each sale your customers make through your apps — see Get paid. Free accounts can’t publish, so no sales happen on Free.
App credits and Build credits
Spark keeps two separate credit balances.
App credits power the AI your customers use in your published apps — a chat app answering questions, for example. Build credits power the agents that build and edit your project when you work with the agent.
When credits run out
Running out of App credits stops the AI features in your published apps until you add credits. Your apps stay published.
Running out of Build credits means you can’t make changes until you add credits. Your published apps keep working the whole time.
Spark never unpublishes an app over credits. An empty balance pauses what that balance powers — nothing more.
Monthly credits and Purchased credits
Each balance can hold two kinds of credit. Monthly credits come with a paid plan and refill to the plan’s full amount when the plan renews; whatever is left over at renewal drops away rather than carrying into the next month. Purchased credits — top-ups you buy, plus the one-time signup credits — never expire. Spark spends Monthly credits first, so Purchased credits sit untouched until the monthly ones are gone.
Add credits
You can top up either balance at any time, from $5 to $5,000 per purchase, and $1 buys $1 of credit. In Account settings › Billing & usage, choose Add credits, pick App or Build, and pay through Stripe checkout. The credits are on your balance as soon as you return.
See your plan and usage
Account settings › Billing & usage shows your current plan, both credit meters, and how much each project has used. When a balance runs low, a warning also appears in the sidebar and in the agent chat, so an empty balance never arrives as a surprise.
Publishing requires a paid plan
Publishing is the one thing gated by plan. On Free you can create a project, work with the agent, and preview everything it builds — the full loop in How Spark works. Taking a project live with the Publish button requires Starter or Pro; see Preview and publish for how going live works.
