Limits
These are Spark’s current limits. They keep every project fast and protect the sending reputation your email depends on, and they change as Spark grows. Most builders never run into them. If your business consistently needs more of something, that is a support conversation — reach out and we can look at raising a cap for your project.
Daily limits reset at midnight UTC. Limits are separate from credits, which govern what your plan lets you spend — see Plans and credits.
Files
These caps apply to files your project stores — attachments your customers add in the chat app, digital products you sell in your online store, and anything else an app keeps.
| Limit | Current value |
|---|---|
| Largest single file | 50 MB |
| Total storage per app | 2 GB |
| Files one customer can upload | 20 per day |
Knowledge
The knowledge library holds the documents your chat app answers from. Supported formats are listed on that page.
| Limit | Current value |
|---|---|
| Documents per library | 200 |
| Largest single document | 25 MB |
Caps on sending email are deliberately conservative — they are what keeps your mail landing in inboxes. A scheduled send counts against the day it actually goes out, and suppression, quota, and everything else are checked at delivery time too.
| Limit | Current value |
|---|---|
| Recipients on one send | 500 |
| Recipients accepted per day | 200 |
| Schedule a send ahead of time | between 2 minutes and 30 days from now |
AI usage
Your apps can generate text, search the web, and create images. Each capability has a daily cap per project.
| Limit | Current value |
|---|---|
| AI responses generated | 2,000 per project per day |
| Web searches | 2,000 per project per day |
| Images generated | 200 per project per day |
Agent chat
Limits on working with the agent while you build.
| Limit | Current value |
|---|---|
| Attachments on one message | 5 |
| Largest image attachment | 5 MB |
| Largest document attachment | 50 MB |
| Requests in flight | 1 per chat |
The agent works through one request at a time in each chat. You can keep typing while it works — your next message queues and runs as soon as the current turn finishes. The preview updates as each turn lands.
Custom domains
When you add a custom domain, Spark re-checks your DNS records every few minutes until they verify.
| Limit | Current value |
|---|---|
| Verification window | 72 hours |
A domain that has not verified after 72 hours expires as failed. Remove it and add it again once the DNS records are in place. HTTPS needs nothing extra from you — the certificate is provisioned automatically once DNS points at Spark, usually within minutes.
When you hit a limit
Hitting a cap pauses that one capability until it resets; the rest of your project keeps running. Your live app stays up, your customers can keep browsing, and daily caps clear at midnight UTC. If a limit gets in your way week after week, contact support — several of these caps can be raised per project.
