How to buy a domain

A domain is the web address people use to visit your site, like mybakery.com. You can buy a domain from any domain registrar, then connect it to your Spark site.
How much does a domain cost?
Domains are usually paid for annually.
The price depends on the name and ending you choose, such as .com, .co, or .studio. The first year may also cost less than future renewals, so check the renewal price before you buy.
Some providers offer optional extras during checkout. You only need the domain itself to connect it to Spark. Spark hosts your site, so there’s no need to buy separate website hosting.
Where can I buy one?
You can use any domain registrar or domain provider.
Common providers include GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace Domains, Cloudflare, Porkbun, Hostinger, IONOS, and Amazon Route 53. Spark doesn’t require or recommend a specific provider.
If you already own the domain you want to use, you don’t need to buy it again.
What should I buy?
Choose the address you want customers to use, such as mybakery.com.
You don’t need to buy www.mybakery.com separately. Spark will help you set up both the www and non-www versions when you connect your domain.
Connect your domain to Spark
Once you own your domain, go back to Project settings → Domain in Spark and connect it to your site.
Spark will guide you through the settings you need to change with your domain provider and check the setup for you.
