Apps and internal tools

Your project holds two kinds of things, and the sidebar lists them in two groups: Apps and Internal tools. An app is public — your customers use it at your project URL. An internal tool is private — only you can open it, inside Spark. You build both the same way: ask the agent, watch the preview update, and publish when it looks right.

Public apps

Each app starts from a working template, and the agent shapes it to your business from there.

Chat app

“An AI chat app for your customers.” It answers with what you’ve taught it — see the knowledge library for how that works, and the chat app guide for the Configure view and everything else you can tune.

Marketing site

“A public website for your business, product, or service.” The agent writes the first version from your business description on its very first turn, and the site links to your other public apps on its own. It shows real prices only once you’ve set them up; until then the agent leaves pricing out or tells you what still needs a number.

Online store

“An online store where customers buy your products.” Adding a store also adds the Products tool, so you can manage your catalog from day one. The online store guide covers the storefront itself, and Get paid covers connecting Stripe.

Custom app

“Tell the agent what you want to build.” Use it for any public experience the other apps don’t cover — a waitlist, a directory, a booking flow, a quiz.

Internal tools

Internal tools live in your Spark workspace, so your customers never see them. Each gets a page of its own in Internal tools; here is the short version.

ToolWhat it’s for
UsersList of app users and their activity
AnalyticsHow people are using your app
MarketingA marketing plan for the business — the agent researches your market, proposes channels, and drafts the content
Custom toolTell the agent what to build

Projects with an online store also carry Products: “Your product catalog, sales, and buyer emails.”

What a new project starts with

When you create a project, the Marketing site and Chat app come pre-selected — keep them, swap them, or add others. Every project also gets Users, Analytics, and Marketing automatically, whatever apps you pick. Add an online store, at creation or later, and the Products tool arrives with it.

Add another app or tool

Click the + at the top of the Apps group or the Internal tools group in the sidebar, then pick from the list. The agent sets up the new app or tool and it appears in the group right away, ready for your first request. For a tour of where everything sits, see Around the platform.

Rename, delete, and history

Open the ⋮ menu next to an app or tool’s name in the sidebar to rename it or delete it.

Every app and tool also keeps an activity log — a running record of what the agent changed there, when the preview updated, and what you published. To step back to an earlier published version, use Restore in History.
