# Use Spark from Claude

You can connect Spark to Claude and work on your projects from Claude’s chat. Claude sends your requests to Spark, follows the work while it happens, and brings Spark’s questions back to you. Anything you could ask in your project’s chat, you can ask through Claude.

Other AI assistants that can add an MCP connector connect the same way, with the same address.

## Connect Spark to Claude

1. In Claude’s settings, open **Connectors** and add a custom connector.
2. Name it Spark and enter `https://mcp.spark.site` as its address.
3. Choose **Connect**. Sign in to Spark if you aren’t already, then choose **Connect** on Spark’s screen.

Claude takes you back to the chat, and Spark is ready to use there. Adding a custom connector needs a Claude plan that includes them.

## Ask in your own words

> What is Spark working on in my Harbor Tours project?

> Ask Spark to add a pricing page with our three class packages.

When you ask for a change, Claude sends it to Spark and waits while Spark works. If Spark has a question, or needs you to approve something, Claude asks you in the chat and passes your answer on.

You can start a new project the same way. Spark plans it with you through Claude, one question at a time, and once you agree to the plan, Claude creates the project and Spark starts building it.

## Check the work

Claude can look at your site’s preview, one screen at a time, at desktop or phone width. Ask it to check a change against what you wanted.

> Look at the pricing page on a phone and check that all three packages fit.

The preview is the newest version Spark built, including changes you haven’t published yet. The first look at a page can take a minute or two while Spark prepares it.

## Attach files

Give Claude a link to a file, such as your menu or your logo, and ask it to send the file to Spark with your request. Spark downloads it and attaches it to the message.

When Claude shows one of your projects, its card has **Attach files**. Pick files from your computer there, then say what Spark should do with them in your next message. Files sent through Claude have a lower [size limit](https://spark.site/docs/reference/limits#files-and-uploads). Attach larger files, such as a long video, in Spark.

## The project card

Ask Claude to show you a project and it shows a card: a picture of the preview, the site’s pages, and **Publish**, **Attach files** and **Open in Spark**.

## Publish

Ask Claude to publish when you’re happy with the preview. Spark publishes the newest version once it has finished working on the site, and your site updates a few seconds later.

## What you see in Spark

The messages Claude sends appear in your project’s chat, marked “from Claude”. Building through Claude uses your Build credits, just like building in Spark.

## Disconnect Claude

Open **Account settings** in Spark and go to **Connected assistants**. Choose **Disconnect** next to Claude. Claude can’t reach your projects again until you connect it again.
